Florida State faced Boston College on Saturday night in a sold-out Doak Campbell Stadium, where they dominated from start to finish, winning by a score of 44-14.

Coming into the matchup, individuals were hesitant in regards to the status of quarterback Jordan Travis who went down with an injury in the come from behind victory over the Louisville Cardinals last week. However, it was announced on Saturday morning that Travis would start for the Seminoles. It seemed as though the West Palm Beach native was quite comfortable where he completed 16 of his 26 passes for 316 yards and one touchdowns. Speaking of quarterbacks, it was a forgettable night for Boston College quarterback Phil Jurkovec in which he completed 15 of his 23 passes for 105 yards with one touchdown and two touchdowns.

Running back Trey Benson ran with a high level of physicality en route to 10 carries for 78 yards and three touchdowns, which included 93-yard opening kickoff return (it was the first time since 2013 that the Seminoles have had a kickoff return for touchdown). Benson was given the honors of breaking the rock after the conclusion of the contest for his tremendous performance. It is bittersweet to witness a player who has been doubted after suffering a severe lower body injury

Florida State handled business against an opponent that they should have dominated unlike a certain rival (*cough* Miami *cough*). The Seminoles have a legitimate chance to be ranked in the AP poll for the first time since 2017. Florida State’s next opponent will be Wake Forest, who are coming off a heartbreaking 51-45 home defeat in double overtime against Clemson.
